On Saturday, December 13, 2025, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the UAE president’s special envoy to China, in Beijing. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen strategic mutual trust and advance cooperation across all fields.
Wang Yi emphasized that China is a reliable, long-term strategic partner of the United Arab Emirates. He noted that the strong personal friendship and mutual trust between the two heads of state provide a solid political guarantee for elevating the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights.
The foreign minister, who also serves on the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted that China’s approach to relations with the UAE reflects its diplomatic principle of equality among all countries, and its ongoing support for developing nations. He argued that China’s growth adds strength to world peace, boosts the influence of the Global South, and enhances global stability. 🌏
In response, Al Mubarak described China as one of the UAE’s most important strategic partners. He praised the deep friendship between their leaders and said that relations with China remain a top priority of the UAE’s foreign policy.
