Trump Threatens to End Ukraine Peace Push if No Progress

In a bold declaration, former U.S. President Donald Trump warned that the United States is ready to abandon its efforts to broker a Russia-Ukraine peace deal if clear progress does not materialize soon. "Quickly, we want to get it done," he stated at the White House, making it clear that delays will not be tolerated.

Backing up his remarks, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized during a meeting in Paris that both sides have only days to show meaningful movement. "If it's not possible, then I think the president is probably at a point where he's going to say, 'well, we're done,'" Rubio noted, underlining the urgency of the situation.

This high-stakes drama follows an earlier proposal on March 18 when Trump suggested a 30-day pause on striking energy infrastructure facilities—an idea that temporarily set both Russia and Ukraine on edge. However, reports indicate that Ukrainian forces continue to target energy sites in 15 Russian areas, and a recent missile attack in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy tragically claimed 35 lives.

As tensions mount and the clock ticks ⏰, all eyes are on whether both parties will step up. The coming days will be crucial in determining if this peace initiative can come to fruition or if the United States will walk away from the deal.
