Iran Warns U.S. and Israeli Bases Could Be Targets if Attacked

⚠️ This Sunday, January 11, 2026, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf delivered a stern message: if the U.S. attacks, both U.S. and Israeli bases in the Middle East would be seen as legitimate targets. He said, 'in the case of an attack on Iran, the occupied territories (Israel) as well as all U.S. bases and ships will be our legitimate targets.'

The warning comes amid reports that U.S. President Donald Trump is seriously considering authorizing a strike against Iran, according to The New York Times. These developments are unfolding as nationwide protests continue.

Since late December 2025, people in several Iranian cities have taken to the streets, frustrated by the sharp fall of the rial and long-standing economic hardship. While Iranian authorities have expressed willingness to address these grievances, they’ve also condemned violence and vandalism. Recent clashes between police and what the government calls 'rioters' have turned deadly, though no official figures have been released.

The region watches nervously as rhetoric heats up and protests roll on. Will this standoff spiral into direct military action, or will cooler heads prevail? Stay tuned 📡.
