Fans cheered as the Chinese mainland's Sun Jiaxu soared through the air, landing a near-perfect back full-double full-double full to clinch gold with a stunning 131.58 points 🏆.

Sun had placed third in the first round of the final, but his second jump was pure fire 🔥. Right behind him, the Chinese mainland's Li Tianma pulled off a flawless back double full-double full-full, climbing from fourth to second place and taking home silver. Another strong contender, the Chinese mainland's Qi Guangpu, finished fifth, while Switzerland's Noe Roth grabbed the bronze 🇨🇭.

On the women's side, Australia's Laura Peel wowed the judges and earned gold, followed by the USA's Winter Vinecki in silver. Reigning Olympic champion Xu Mengtao of the Chinese mainland bounced back into form with a solid bronze (97.02 points), and her teammates Kong Fanyu and Shao Qi rounded out the top eight with fifth and eighth places.

Next stop: Lake Placid! This coming weekend (Jan 11–12), the aerialists will bring their best moves across the border to the USA for a doubleheader that promises even more high-flying drama. ¡Increíble! ✈️🎿
