Kigali, Rwanda – Recently, I landed in Kigali for the grand finale of the 2025 Africa’s Business Heroes Awards (ABH Awards), expecting yet another routine business assignment filled with jargon and spreadsheets.
But I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The moment the final 10 entrepreneurs stepped onto the stage, the atmosphere shifted from formal to deeply inspiring. These young innovators weren’t just pitching products; they were offering solutions to some of Africa’s most urgent challenges. This isn’t about market shares – it’s about real impact.
This year’s finalists covered:
- Sustainable agriculture 🌱 – startups growing food with less waste
- Cutting-edge technology 💡 – from apps to AI tools
- Accessible healthcare ❤️ – making vital services reach more people
Watching each pitch, I felt a spark of hope. Their passion and clarity reminded me why entrepreneurship matters: it can drive real change, one idea at a time. And in a room buzzing with energy, I realized that Africa’s future is bright.
Leaving Kigali, I carried more than notes on business plans. I carried a spark of hope for a continent driven by young visionaries turning ideas into action. 🌍✨
