Israeli Drone Strike Kills Two Brothers in Gaza

On Saturday morning, November 29, tragedy struck Bani Suheila in the Gaza Strip when an Israeli drone targeted two young brothers out gathering firewood. The siblings, eight-year-old Fadi and ten-year-old Jumaa Tamer Abu Assi, were killed around 8:30 a.m., according to Gaza's civil defense agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal. 💔

Family members say the boys were unarmed and simply collecting wood for their home when the strike hit. Israel's military stated it had identified "two suspects posing an immediate threat," describing their activities as suspicious.

Their bodies were taken to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, where funerals were held that afternoon. The incident occurred near the Yellow Line—a boundary marked by yellow concrete blocks—where Israeli troops agreed to withdraw under a U.S.-brokered ceasefire that took effect on October 10.

Since the truce began, multiple deadly incidents have been reported along the Yellow Line, raising alarms about the safety of civilians living close to the ceasefire line. ⚠️

For many in Gaza, losing Fadi and Jumaa is another harsh reminder of how vulnerable children remain in times of conflict. As tensions continue, families on both sides yearn for lasting peace. 🕊️
