📍 Nablus, West Bank – tension soared on the evening of Monday, November 24, 2025, as Israeli forces surrounded a house on Amman Street. Heavy gunfire and the roar of shoulder-fired projectiles lit up the night sky. 🔥
Palestinian security sources said Abdel-Raouf Shatyeh, who had been on Israel’s radar for more than 18 months over an alleged vehicular attack that killed two soldiers, was inside. After an intense exchange of fire, locals reported flames shooting out of an apartment window.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) rushed to the scene but was blocked by the army from reaching the wounded. Later, the PRCS confirmed that locals informed them Shatyeh was killed during the operation.
Meanwhile, other neighborhoods in Nablus saw a wave of arrests as soldiers detained several men suspected of links to armed groups.
In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces described the mission as a "counterterrorism operation" still ongoing in eastern Nablus, aiming to capture or neutralize suspects connected to attacks on soldiers.
Incidents like this are becoming a familiar pattern in the West Bank, where tensions are expected to remain high in the coming days. Stay tuned for updates. 😉
