Yesterday in Bishkek, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi 🤝 Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev kicked off their first-ever foreign ministers’ strategic dialogue.
As a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Wang Yi said this new dialogue mechanism is a key step in putting earlier presidential consensus into action. He highlighted plans to strengthen strategic trust, enhance coordination and promote cooperation across the board.
Wang added that China is ready to deepen communication on international affairs and fully supports Kyrgyzstan in assuming the rotating chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2026.
On his side, Kulubaev reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s adherence to the one-China principle and expressed eagerness to work with China on Belt and Road projects. Priority areas include trade and investment, agriculture and mining, connectivity and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway 🛤️.
They also plan to boost people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and coordinate more closely at the UN under China’s four global initiatives.
After the talks, both sides signed a joint statement on the dialogue outcomes and a cooperation roadmap for 2026-2027, sealing a fresh chapter in China–Kyrgyzstan relations 🌏✨.
