CELAC-EU Summit in Colombia Champions Clean Energy and Unity

Heads of state and government from CELAC and the EU wrapped up the Fourth CELAC-EU Summit in Santa Marta, Colombia, yesterday, agreeing on a joint declaration to boost clean energy, protect the environment, and reinforce multilateral cooperation amid global tensions.

The summit, held November 9–10, brought together over 60 leaders under bright Caribbean skies. Delegates committed to accelerating the transition to renewable power 🌱⚡, safeguarding fragile ecosystems, and deepening ties to promote stability and shared prosperity. This year’s talks underscored the need for unity in a complex world.

For young professionals and entrepreneurs, the declaration opens doors to green tech partnerships and sustainable investments. Students and researchers will benefit from new exchange programs focused on climate science, while Asian diaspora communities and global travelers can look forward to culturally rich collaborations across the Atlantic.

Looking ahead, both sides plan to set up working groups early next year to turn bold plans into action. As one delegate put it, “Our future depends on solidarity and innovation—together, we can face any challenge.” 🤝
