Israel Resumes Gaza Ceasefire After Deadly Airstrikes

🕊️ Israel announced on Wednesday it has resumed enforcing a ceasefire in Gaza after overnight air strikes.

The Israeli military said in a statement that it "has begun the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire" following instructions from the political echelon. Earlier, jets targeted dozens of militant sites and around 30 fighters in command roles — a move Israel described as a response to Hamas violations.

According to Gaza health authorities, air strikes between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning left at least 91 people dead, including 30 children 💔. The high civilian toll has sparked fresh concerns among families caught in the crossfire.

Israel also accused Hamas of sparking a fire in Rafah on Tuesday that killed a reserve soldier, and said the group was withholding the bodies of hostages. Hamas denied involvement, saying it had difficulty locating some burial sites.

Looking ahead, Israel says it will "continue to uphold the ceasefire and respond firmly to any breach." Both sides are now watching closely to see if the fragile calm holds.
