Israel Keeps Control Over Gaza Security Despite Ceasefire

In a bold move, Israel insisted this Sunday that it will keep the main say on security in Gaza, even as it agreed to a US-brokered ceasefire that would bring in an international force 🤝.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear that “Israel is an independent state. We will defend ourselves by our own means and we will continue to determine our fate.” In other words, Israel will decide where and when to strike, and which international troops can join the mission 🔒.

Meanwhile, AFP captured powerful footage of an Egyptian convoy rolling into Gaza. Low-loader lorries flying the Egyptian flag carried heavy machinery—bulldozers, mechanical diggers, and tipper trucks—to an aid committee base in Al-Zawayda 🚛✨. Their mission? To speed up the search for remains of Israeli hostages lost under the rubble.

Government spokesperson Shosh Bedrosian explained that Netanyahu personally approved this technical team entry. “None of these personnel are in the military,” she noted. The team has crossed the IDF’s Yellow Line into Gaza territory to help locate missing hostages 🕵️‍♀️.

This standoff between international cooperation and national control underscores the delicate balance of regional politics. As the world watches, both sides are working to maintain peace—and save lives—in a territory long marked by conflict.
