PSG fans, brace yourselves! 🤯 Paris Saint-Germain went on a goal-hunt in Germany, thumping Bayer Leverkusen 7-2 in an epic Champions League showdown. With three wins from three, they shoot straight to the top of Group A!
The fireworks started early – Willian Pacho's own headed goal in the 7th minute set the tone, and things went from bad to worse for Leverkusen when captain Robert Andrich picked up a red card in the 32nd minute for elbowing Desire Doue.
But PSG briefly felt the heat after Illia Zabarnyi took down Christian Kofane, gifting Leverkusen a penalty that Aleix Garcia coolly slotted home. 1-1 and the home crowd roared!
That joy was short-lived. Just three minutes later Doue struck back, exploiting the space left by Andrich’s dismissal. Then, right before halftime, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia curled in a beauty off the post: 3-1 and Leverkusen were in total disarray.
The floodgates opened after the break. Goals by Doue again, Nuno Mendes’s thunderbolt, a quick reply from Garcia, and a silky tap-in by Ousmane Dembele had the scoreboard reading 6-2 by the 66th minute. Vitinha wrapped up the rout in the 90th – and PSG’s goal machine kept on roaring!
Next stop: dream on, a deep Champions League run! Can anyone stop PSG’s juggernaut? 👀⚽
