Poland Pushes Back Against Trump on Drone Incursions

Hey news buffs! 🌍 Poland just threw shade at President Trump's recent remark that the alleged Russian drone incursions into Polish airspace 'could have been a mistake'.

On Friday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk took to X (formerly Twitter) to set the record straight: 'We would also wish that the drone attack on Poland was a mistake. But it wasn't. And we know it.' 🚁

Trump had expressed frustration, suggesting the drone violations might not have been intentional. But Poland's stance has been clear from the start: these were deliberate tests of NATO's readiness, not harmless errors.

Meanwhile, Russia denies launching any drones toward Poland. The Russian Defense Ministry and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov both reject the accusations, saying there is no proof of provocations.

In response to the incursions, the Polish military shot down several drones after their airspace was repeatedly violated overnight. And to underscore the seriousness of the threat, Tusk invoked Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty, seeking consultations with alliance allies over national security.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said the alliance will keep its air defense systems on standby as it monitors the situation in the east. 🛡️

With the story heating up, Poland and its partners are watching closely—because when it comes to national security, there is no room for mistakes.
