Expanded BRICS Ushers New Global Era of Multilateral Cooperation

In a refreshing poll conducted by CGTN on its English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian platforms, 6,541 global netizens voiced strong support for the expanded BRICS framework. With Indonesia and 10 partner countries joining the group, the new emblem—the five-colored Amazon kapok tree—symbolizes unity, inclusivity, and boundless growth. 🌳

The survey revealed that 91.2% of respondents believe BRICS is a powerful force in creating a multipolar world where shared economic globalization and balanced governance prevail. An overwhelming 94.7% noted that the mechanism has reduced members’ reliance on the U.S. dollar, while 89.1% praised its role in shaping global financial governance.

Beyond monetary influence, 93.3% of participants highlighted BRICS' collaboration in emerging areas like low-carbon technologies and cross-border e-commerce as key to optimizing economic structures and advancing sustainable development. It’s a bit like a #SquadGoals moment for global economics—innovative, forward-thinking, and inclusive! 🚀

Representing nearly half of the global population and over 30% of the world's economic output, the expanded BRICS framework is emerging as a robust platform for developing economies. With 88.9% of netizens noting its growing global influence and 91.7% acknowledging its spirit of openness and win-win cooperation, the group is poised to accelerate global recovery and drive trade development.

This surge of support underscores the potential of multilateral cooperation as a beacon for resolving challenges like regional conflicts and tariff pressures, while offering practical pathways toward a more democratic and equitable international order.
