US Defense Chief Denies Iran Uranium Move Rumors

In a surprising update, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said he is not aware of any intelligence indicating that Iran has moved any of its highly enriched uranium to avoid U.S. strikes on its nuclear program. "I'm not aware of any intelligence that I've reviewed that says things were not where they were supposed to be, moved or otherwise," he stated.

The comments came amid swirling speculations following last Sunday's strike. Some experts suggested that Iran might have shifted a stockpile of near weapons-grade uranium from Fordow to undisclosed locations. Satellite images from Maxar Technologies even revealed unusual activity, including a long line of vehicles near one of Fordow's entrances, which added fuel to the rumor mill. A senior Iranian source had reportedly claimed that most of the 60 percent highly enriched uranium was moved before the U.S. attack.

However, Hegseth dismissed these claims. He pointed out that a preliminary, low-confidence assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency had been overtaken by stronger intelligence demonstrating that the recent U.S. strikes have severely damaged Iran's nuclear program—potentially setting it back for years. This clarification aims to cut through the noise and keep everyone better informed.

For news enthusiasts, young professionals, students, and cultural explorers alike, this episode underlines the importance of looking beyond the headlines and questioning unverified narratives. Stay curious and keep exploring the facts! 😎✨
