Gaza Under Heavy Strikes: 200+ Airstrikes in 3 Days

In a dramatic escalation over the past three days, Israel's military has carried out more than 200 airstrikes across the Gaza Strip. The operation targeted various militant infrastructures, including rocket launch sites, sniper positions, weapons depots, and command centers, as part of efforts to dismantle hostile networks.

One key target was a fighter named Ahmad Mansour, identified as a member of the Islamic Jihad movement. Authorities said he had been involved in the surprise attack on October 7, 2023, and was later responsible for directing rocket fire. This move highlights the intensifying efforts to curb militant activity in the region.

On the ground, Israeli troops made significant moves in Rafah. In the Shabura and Tel al-Sultan neighborhoods, they dismantled what they termed "terrorist infrastructure" and uncovered caches of grenades, ammunition, and other military gear. Along the recently constructed Morag Corridor, which connects different parts of Gaza, the troops located a large stockpile of weapons and neutralized several militant elements.

Further north in Gaza, soldiers conducted an airstrike on a building thought to house underground infrastructure, detecting multiple militants during the operation. The military also dismantled established sniper posts that had posed risks to their ground forces.

Tragically, at least eight people lost their lives in these strikes, with dozens more injured, according to reports by WAFA. Meanwhile, the situation remains highly charged. Gaza's civil defense agency has accused the Israeli military of carrying out summary executions in the killing of 15 rescue workers in late March. A video release by a paramedic has intensified debates, with the Palestine Red Crescent Society strongly rejecting an Israeli military investigation that dismissed claims of execution and blamed the tragedy on operational errors.

This complex and unfolding scenario underscores the volatile tensions in the region and leaves many asking what next for both local communities and those closely watching these developments around the world. Stay tuned for more updates as the situation continues to evolve.
