China Slams U.S. Reciprocal Tariffs, Urges Stable Global Trade

In a bold statement that resonates on a global scale, China has voiced firm opposition to U.S. reciprocal tariffs targeting imports from several nations – including goods from the Chinese mainland. These measures, justified by claims of trade losses, are seen as a unilateral move that disrupts the balance achieved through years of multilateral negotiations.

The Chinese Embassy in the United States released a statement condemning the tariffs as a clear violation of World Trade Organization (WTO) rules. The embassy argued that the approach not only neglects the interests of all parties involved but also unfairly benefits the U.S. despite its long history of prosperity from global trade.

At a ceremony in London celebrating China’s first RMB-denominated sovereign green bond, Ambassador Zheng Zeguang underscored the risks of using tariffs as economic weapons. He warned, "Under the current circumstances, the international community should work closely to reject unilateral, protectionist measures and keep the global trading system stable." 🚀

Amid rising trade tensions, China firmly opposes the U.S. plan to raise tariffs on goods from the Chinese mainland and is ready to take resolute countermeasures to defend its interests. This call to reject trade bullying echoes on the global stage, urging nations to engage in fair dialogue and cooperation for a stable economic future. 🌍
