Russia Snubs European Peacekeepers for Ukraine, Says Belarus’ Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has made it clear that Russia is firmly against the deployment of European peacekeeping forces in Ukraine. 🇷🇺✋🇺🇦 In an interview with American blogger Mario Nawfal in Minsk, Lukashenko emphasized that Russia \\"will never agree to EU peacekeeping forces in Ukraine.\\"

He pointed out the current aggressive stance of the European Union, particularly citing Germany and France as leading this approach. Meanwhile, a coalition of European countries, spearheaded by Britain and France, is quietly strategizing to send troops to Ukraine to help enforce any potential peace settlement with Russia, according to the Associated Press.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated on Wednesday that the UK is ready to \\"play our part\\" in a peacekeeping role in Ukraine, but highlighted the need for backing from the United States to make it feasible.

In his latest discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Lukashenko conveyed that Russia is open to negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine, including engaging with the Ukrainian side. He stressed, \\"No one will resolve Ukraine's issues without Ukraine.\\"

Lukashenko also touched on a potential U.S.-Ukraine deal involving rare earth metals, suggesting that such a deal \\"may be alarming for Russia,\\" especially if it extends beyond economic ties.
