UK PM Boosts Defense Budget to 2.5% GDP by 2027 💼💰

In a bold move, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced plans to increase the United Kingdom's defense spending to 2.5% of its GDP by 2027. This decision comes as Starmer prepares for high-profile talks with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington.

To fund this boost, the PM has revealed that the UK will reduce its overseas development aid from 0.5% to 0.3% of GDP. Currently, the UK allocates 2.3% of its GDP to defense for the fiscal year 2023/24.

Starmer emphasized the importance of strengthening the nation's defense capabilities amidst global uncertainties, ensuring the UK remains prepared and resilient.
