Canada Hits Back: Trudeau Slaps 25% Tariffs on US Goods 🇨🇦💥🇺🇸

Brace yourselves, folks! 🍁 Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just dropped a major bombshell on Saturday. In response to U.S. tariffs, Trudeau announced that Canada will impose a whopping 25% tariff on C$155 billion ($106.5 billion) of U.S. goods! 😱

Starting Tuesday, C$30 billion worth of American products will be hit with these new tariffs, with the remaining C$125 billion following suit in 21 days. This move comes after President Trump signed an executive order imposing 25% tariffs on all goods from Canada and Mexico, effective immediately, except for Canadian energy products, which will face a 10% duty.

Trudeau didn't hold back, warning that the upcoming weeks will be tough for Canadians. But he also highlighted that Trump's tariffs would come back to bite Americans. Speaking directly to our neighbors down south, he said:

\"They will raise costs for you, including food at the grocery store, gas at the pump. They will impede your access to an affordable supply of vital goods.\"

Ouch! 😬

The Canadian tariffs are set to target a range of U.S. goods, including beer, wine, and bourbon—so kiss those cheap imports goodbye! 🍻🍷🥃 Fruits and fruit juices are also on the list, notably orange juice from Trump's home state of Florida. Plus, items like clothing, sports equipment, and household appliances will be affected. 🛍️🏈🏠

But that's not all. Canada is considering other moves beyond tariffs, possibly involving critical minerals, energy procurement, and other partnerships.

Trudeau is rallying Canadians to support home-grown products and explore the Great White North instead of vacationing in the U.S. 🌲⛷️ \"We didn't ask for this but we will not back down,\" he declared.

Looks like it's time to show some true north strong and free spirit! 🇨🇦❤️
