Hey amigos, big news from the Middle East 🌍! The UN agency that's been supporting Palestinian refugees has announced it's hitting pause on delivering aid through the essential Kerem Shalom crossing between Israel and Gaza, and it's all because of some serious security issues 🚧.
Philippe Lazzarini, the head honcho of UNRWA, dropped this news on X (you know, that platform formerly known as Twitter 🐦) on Sunday.
He said, \"We are pausing the delivery of aid through Kerem Shalom… The road out of this crossing has not been safe for months. On 16 November, a large convoy of aid trucks was stolen by armed gangs. Yesterday, we tried to bring in a few food trucks on the same route. They were all taken.\"
This is a major bummer 😢, especially for the people depending on this aid. Safety first, though! Let's hope things get sorted out soon so the much-needed assistance can reach those who need it most. 🤞
