🚨 Gaza City is once again witnessing an exodus as Israeli forces intensified their bombardment across the Gaza Strip on Thursday. With more evacuation orders issued, families are packing up and streaming out of northern Gaza, fearing they may never return to their homes.
In the Shati refugee camp, tragedy struck when an Israeli air strike hit a school sheltering displaced families. At least 10 people lost their lives and several others were wounded, according to Palestinian health officials.
As tanks rolled into Beit Lahiya, a month into Israel's new offensive on northern Gaza, the streets filled with families on the move. \\"After they displaced most or all of the people in Jabalia, now they are bombing everywhere, killing people on the roads and inside their houses to force everyone out,\\" shared Ahmed, a displaced resident, via a messaging app.
Palestinian officials are accusing Israel of launching a campaign of \\"ethnic cleansing\\". Residents report that no aid has reached Jabalia, Beit Lahiya, or Beit Hanoun since the military operation began on October 5.
Israel's military claims it was compelled to clear Jabalia and start operations in nearby Beit Lahiya to confront Hamas militants, whom they say have regrouped in these areas.
Meanwhile, the conflict isn't confined to Gaza. Fighting between Israel and Hezbollah continues to escalate. On Thursday, Israeli air strikes hit multiple areas in Lebanon, resulting in eight deaths and 22 injuries, as reported by Lebanon's National News Agency.
In Baalbek's Harfouche area, an air strike claimed the life of a woman. In Sidon, a separate Israeli drone attack near an army checkpoint killed three people and injured three Lebanese soldiers and five UN peacekeepers from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
As tensions rise, the people of Gaza and neighboring regions are caught in the crossfire, with countless families seeking safety amidst uncertainty. 🌍✌️
