Hey amigos! 🌎 Did you know that October 16 is World Food Day? Since way back in 1945, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has been using this day to shine a spotlight on global hunger and food security.
While there were some wins in reducing hunger over past decades, recently things have taken a tough turn. In the last few years, we've seen a rise in global hunger levels. 😔
So, what's going on? Climate change, conflicts, and the pandemic have all played a part in making it harder for people around the world to get enough to eat. It's affecting millions, including many in our own Latin American communities.
But here's the thing: we can make a difference! Whether it's spreading awareness, supporting local food banks, or advocating for sustainable practices, every little bit helps.
Let's come together this World Food Day to tackle hunger and build a better, more nourished future for everyone. 🌽🍚🥖
