HKSAR Removes Scaffold Nets from 230 Private Buildings

As of December 9, the Buildings Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has successfully removed external scaffold nets from 230 private buildings 🏗️🚧.

According to an HKSAR government press release, the BD is rolling out a fresh set of arrangements within the coming week. Under these new rules, all scaffold nets used at construction sites will need to pass on-site sampling and receive certification confirming they meet the relevant standards before they can be installed. Think of it as quality control, city-style! 🔍✔️

For urban explorers and architecture buffs, you might spot cleaner building exteriors and a tidier skyline as these nets come down. And for professionals in construction and real estate, it’s a clear signal that Hong Kong is tightening the dial on compliance and safety checks.

Stay tuned for updates on how these changes unfold and what they mean for future projects across the HKSAR. 🌆✨
