According to border authorities, Beijing recorded 162,000 passenger trips from May 1 to 3 – a 21.5% increase from last year. Guangzhou welcomed 32,000 inbound trips, marking a 43% jump, while the Shanghai Border Inspection Station projected around 594,000 passenger trips between May 1 and 5, reflecting a 30.7% year-on-year rise.
