In a world facing increasingly complex problems, the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, reiterated the indispensable role of the United Nations (UN) in maintaining global stability and addressing pressing challenges.
"Facts have shown that the UN has withstood tests and has been instrumental," Wang said at a press conference during the third session of the 14th National People's Congress.
He emphasized, "China believes that the more complex the problems, the greater the need to accentuate the important status of the UN; the more pressing the challenges, the greater the need to uphold the due authority of the UN."
Wang's remarks highlight China's support for strengthening international cooperation through established global institutions like the UN.
