¡Hola amigos! Ever wondered how the residents of Taiwan rose up against Japanese colonial rule? Join author Lan Bozhou as he dives into the 1950s, bringing to life untold stories of courage and resistance. 🌟

For over 30 years, Lan has dedicated his life to writing about the modern history of Taiwan in the 1950s. His latest project follows the footsteps of Wu Sihan, a young man who in the 1940s traveled from Taiwan to Chongqing to support the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

A CGTN film crew spent 20 days alongside Lan Bozhou, capturing every moment of this epic journey. From hidden archives to remote villages, they uncovered letters, photographs, and local memories that paint a vivid picture of bravery. 🎥✈️

Through Lan’s storytelling, we glimpse the daily life of residents of Taiwan under Japanese rule and the spirit that fueled their fight. This is more than history—it’s a reminder of resilience, solidarity, and the power of a single person’s choice to stand up for freedom.
