The Chinese mainland’s world No. 1 Wang Chuqin continued his reign on the table, cruising past South Korea’s No. 13 seed An Jae-hyun in straight games (11-9, 11-4, 11-7) to book his spot in the quarterfinals of the WTT China Smash in Beijing 🚀.

After a tight first game that saw An rally from 6-9 to 9-9, Wang closed it out with two quick points and never looked back, dominating the next two games with his signature power play. Next up, Japan’s Sora Matsushima will test if he can level up and challenge the Chinese mainland star for a spot in the last four.

On the women’s side, second-seeded favorite Wang Manyu made quick work of Japan’s No. 13 seed Hina Hayata, winning 11-6, 11-4, 11-5. She said, 'I focused on my tactics and controlled the match from start to finish.' Wang now gears up to face another Japanese challenger, No. 6 seed Miwa Harimoto 🎯.

Drama hit its peak in the mixed-doubles semifinals, where Huang Youzheng and Chen Yi battled compatriots Yuan Licen and Wang Yidi. After swapping leads and mini-rallies, Huang and Chen sealed a 3-1 victory (11-6, 9-11, 11-9, 11-7) to advance to the final against top seeds Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha 🏓❤️.
