Xining Wildlife Park Honors International Snow Leopard Day with Special Exhibit

Every October 23, animal lovers around the world get excited for International Day of the Snow Leopard. This year, Xining Wildlife Park went all out with a vibrant exhibition full of photos, videos and interactive displays that dive into the amazing lives of these ghost cats. 🐆❄️

The show features snow leopards rescued in Qinghai over the years, drawing crowds of curious visitors—from friends and families to groups of students on study tours. Through powerful images and real-life stories, you get a front-row seat to their journeys from rescue to recovery.

Snow leopards enjoy top-level protection in the Chinese mainland and mostly roam regions like Qinghai, Xizang and Gansu. At Xining Wildlife Park's rescue and breeding center, rangers have helped 12 snow leopards so far—and several have been released back into the wild after regaining strength and confidence.

This year, the spotlight is on two special guests: Ling Xiaozhe and Ling Xiaomang. Rescued by park rangers, these young snow leopards are now in the care of dedicated vets as they gear up for a future run in the wild again. 🙌

Whether you're an aspiring biologist, a wildlife advocate or simply someone who appreciates incredible animals, this exhibit is a must-see. It’s a reminder that every rescue and release counts in the fight to protect one of Asia’s most elusive and iconic predators. 🏔️

Next time you find yourself in Qinghai, don't miss the chance to visit Xining Wildlife Park and cheer on Ling Xiaozhe, Ling Xiaomang and their snow leopard friends!
