Majestic Return: Tibetan Antelopes Cross Qumar River Back Home

🐐✨ Nature's great migrations never cease to amaze us! This Saturday, a breathtaking scene unfolded in northwest China's Qinghai Province as a herd of around 60 Tibetan antelopes bravely crossed the Qumar River, one of the three sources of the mighty Yangtze River. 🌊

Every year between May and July, these incredible creatures embark on an epic journey. Pregnant female antelopes travel hundreds of kilometers from places like Sanjiangyuan in Qinghai, the Altun Mountains in Xinjiang, and Qiangtang in Xizang. Their destination? The serene Zonag Lake in the Hoh Xil National Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site perched on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. 🗺️🏞️

After welcoming their adorable fawns into the world, these dedicated moms begin the trek back to their original habitats in July and August, this time with their little ones in tow. 🍼🐾 The sight of them crossing rivers and plains is a powerful reminder of nature's rhythms and the resilience of wildlife. 🌍❤️
