Guess What? The majestic Bingling Temple Grottoes in Gansu Province are taking a little break! 🏛️⛰️
After a 6.2 magnitude earthquake rocked Jishishan County (about 80 km away), the ancient grottoes have temporarily closed their doors to visitors. But don't worry! Dating back to the Western Jin Dynasty (265-317), these grottoes are carved into the cliffs along the Yellow River's north bank. With 183 niches, 694 stone-carved statues, 82 clay sculptures, and nearly 900 square meters of stunning murals, it's like stepping back in time! 🗿🎨
So, while the grottoes are on pause, let's send some good vibes their way and hope for a speedy reopening! ✨
