In a heartwarming twist after a tragic incident, two tiny mountain lion cubs have found a new home at the Oakland Zoo 🐾. The pair of sisters, estimated to be just 6 to 10 weeks old, were orphaned when their mother was hit by a car in California on November 9, 2023.
Over the weekend, locals spotted the duo wandering near their neighborhood, probably searching for their missing mom 😢. Thankfully, they were found safe in a resident's backyard, and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife stepped in to rescue them.
Now, these adorable cubs are settling into their new digs at the Oakland Zoo, where they'll receive the care and love they need. It's a bittersweet story, but we're glad it has a purr-fect ending for these little ones 🦁❤️.
