Soaring High: Drones to Clean Nepal's Iconic Peaks 🏔️🚁

Hey, mountain lovers! Nepal is gearing up to use DJI drones to collect waste from its high-altitude mountains starting next month. How cool is that? 😎

On August 3rd, the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee, Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality, and Airlift Technology Pvt. Ltd signed a memorandum of understanding to kick off trash collection from Mount Ama Dablam in September.

\"Along with Ama Dablam, it can be used for waste collection on Mount Qomolangma and Mount Nuptse, among others, once the new mountaineering season starts,\" shared Jagat Prasad Bhusal, the chief administrative officer of the rural municipality.

And guess what? Airlift Technology is offering this drone service for free for two whole years! 🙌 Big shoutout to them for supporting this awesome initiative.

Back in April, a DJI drone made history by completing the first-ever drone delivery tests on the 8,848.86-meter-high Mount Qomolangma from the Nepali side. This paved the way for using drones in high-altitude mountaineering, emergency rescue, and now, environmental protection!

Using drones to clean up mountains? That's next-level innovation! It's exciting to see technology and environmental conservation come together in such a groundbreaking way. 🌱✨

So, the next time you think about the Himalayas, remember: drones aren't just for selfies anymore—they're helping keep our planet clean! 🌍💚
