China Signals Openness to Space Collaboration with U.S. 🚀

Hey space enthusiasts! 🌌 Guess what? China just signaled it's totally open to teaming up with the U.S. for some epic space adventures! 🛰️

At a recent press briefing, Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said China is all ears when it comes to space cooperation with the U.S. She urged the U.S. to take real steps to clear the hurdles that are blocking collaboration in this out-of-this-world field.

This comes after NASA Administrator Bill Nelson gave a shoutout to China's Chang'e-6 mission, congratulating its success and expressing hope for more space chats and teamwork between the two countries.

Quick recap: China's Chang'e-6 pulled off the world's first sample collection and takeoff from the far side of the moon! 🌕🚀 Talk about making history in the peaceful use of outer space!

Mao Ning thanked the international community for the kudos and highlighted that China and the U.S. already have some mechanisms for space cooperation, like working groups on Earth and space science and data exchanges between their Mars probes. 🪐

But here's the snag: U.S. laws like the Wolf Amendment from 2011 are putting a damper on these cosmic collaborations. This law actually bans NASA from working directly or indirectly with China. 😔

Mao Ning called on the U.S. to be sincere and take practical steps to remove these obstacles. Let's hope both sides can reach for the stars together! ✨
