Guess who's back on Earth? 🌍 The Shenzhou-17 astronauts have touched down and arrived in Beijing early Wednesday after an awe-inspiring six-month mission to the China Space Station! 🛰️
Our space heroes—Tang Hongbo, Tang Shengjie, and Jiang Xinlin—landed safely at the Dongfeng landing site in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region at 5:46 p.m. Beijing Time on Tuesday. By 6:37 p.m., they had all exited the return capsule, greeted with cheers and applause. 🎉
After orbiting Earth for a whopping 187 days, the trio is back and in stellar health. The China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) declared the Shenzhou-17 mission a complete success! 🙌
\"Every time I flew over the homeland, I looked for it,\" Tang Hongbo shared with a smile right after stepping out of the capsule. \"Thanks for everyone's attention. I missed you so much.\" 💖
Fun fact: Tang Hongbo now holds the record for the longest total time spent in space by a Chinese astronaut, clocking in at an incredible 279 days over his two space adventures! 🏆
What's next for our space travelers? They'll be heading into a period of medical quarantine to make sure they're in tip-top shape. After some R&R and health evaluations, they're set to meet the press in Beijing. Stay tuned! 📰
