LeBron James’ 21-Year All-Star Starter Streak Ends

Big shake-up in NBA All-Star history! 🏀 This Monday, the NBA revealed the 2026 All-Star starters, and for the first time since 2004, LeBron James isn’t on the opening roster. At 41, King James watched a 21-year streak of starting in the game come to an end.

The Western Conference starters: Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama. In the East: Cade Cunningham, Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown and Giannis Antetokounmpo. 🤩

This season, LeBron is averaging 22.6 points per game for the Los Angeles Lakers—the lowest clip since his rookie year in 2003–04—and even saw his long run of double-digit scoring games snap after dropping just eight points against Toronto. But he’s not out of the All-Star mix yet: reserves will be announced on February 1.

Meanwhile, Luka led all fan votes with over 3.4 million, fueling his fifth All-Star start. Giannis pulled in about 3.2 million votes, marking his 10th straight appearance. Both stars are delivering monster numbers: Luka averages 33.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 8.6 assists, while Giannis is at 28.8 points, 9.5 boards and 5.5 assists. 🔥

The 2026 All-Star Game hits the court at Inglewood’s new Intuit Dome on February 15. Will LeBron still make the cut as a reserve? Tell us your take! 🗣️
