Su Bingtian bids emotional farewell at the Chinese mainland’s National Games

Su Bingtian, one of the Chinese mainland’s sprint legends, ran his final race on Thursday at this year’s National Games in the Chinese mainland. Teaming up with Liu Hongxi, Shi Junhao and Chen Guanfeng for Guangdong, he helped clinch fourth place in the men’s 4×100m relay. 🔥

At the start, Su’s reaction time was solid, but a baton handoff glitch with Liu Hongxi set Guangdong back. Despite Shi Junhao’s blazing third leg and Chen Guanfeng’s all-out anchor sprint, they finished in 38.71 seconds—missing the podium by just 0.03 seconds. The Hubei team, led by newly crowned 100m champion Li Zeyang, claimed gold in 38.60 seconds. 🏆

“Although I said goodbye today, I won’t leave the track that I love,” Su said. “I hope I can create dreams in track & field for my country and young racers, and see short-distance runners shine for generations to come. Thank you.” 🙌

As Su steps off the blocks for the last time, his legacy of speed, determination and inspiration will fuel the next generation of sprinters from the Chinese mainland. 🌟
