Jiangsu Retains Men’s Gymnastics Gold at 15th National Games

🤸‍♂️ Ever wondered how champions stay on top? Yesterday in Zhaoqing, Jiangsu answered that question by defending their men’s gymnastics team crown at China’s 15th National Games with a score of 328.957, edging out Hunan by a razor-thin margin.

The showdown was set when Hunan topped qualifying rounds, led by Olympic silver medalist Zhang Boheng and teammates Liao Jialei and Yang Jiaxing. Jiangsu’s lineup featured international veterans Sun Wei, Shi Cong, You Hao, and rising pommel horse ace Hong Yanming.

The battle kicked off on the floor exercise, where both squads showed daring routines but also paid for small mistakes. After rotation one, the gap was just 0.1 points—talk about a cliffhanger! 🎢

Then came Hong Yanming’s moment: on pommel horse he scored a competition-high 14.466, giving Jiangsu the breathing room they needed. Hunan fought back hard, topping the parallel bars and horizontal bar, but errors elsewhere cost them.

In the end, Hunan finished at 327.024 and Jiangsu secured consecutive golds. It was a thrilling display of depth, consistency, and nerves of steel that kept fans on the edge of their seats. 🏅

With this win, Jiangsu proves that champions aren’t just born—they’re made, one perfect routine at a time.
