Shandong Stuns Shanghai Port: CSL Title Race Tightens

In a weekend rollercoaster, Shandong Taishan pulled off a stunning 3–1 win over CSL leaders Shanghai Port, turning the title race into a nail-biter! 😲⚽

Shanghai Port seemed in control after Li Xinxiao’s neat tap-in in the 8th minute gave them an early lead. But just before halftime, Georgian forward Valeri Qazaishvili sneaked in a low drive to level for Shandong, shifting the momentum.

The second half belonged to Taishan. In the 62nd minute, Zeca threaded a perfect pass to Liu Yang, who slotted home the go-ahead goal. Qazaishvili then completed his brace in the 77th minute, sealing a memorable 3–1 upset and exposing cracks in Shanghai’s defense.

Meanwhile in Qingdao, Chengdu Rongcheng missed a golden chance to overtake the summit. Davidson punished a visitors’ mistake around the half-hour mark and struck again in the 57th minute with a rapid counter ⚡. Chengdu fought back through Felipe Sousa, whose 68th-minute header and chaotic late finish rescued a 2–2 draw.

With just two games to go, Shanghai Port sit top on 60 points, Chengdu trail by one, and Shandong—buoyed by Qazaishvili’s brace—move up to fifth. The CSL trophy race is on fire! Who will lift the crown? Stay tuned! 🔥🏆
