🏓 In Bhubaneswar, India, China's women's team reclaimed their continental crown at the ITTF-ATTU Asian Team Championships with a flawless 3-0 win over defending champions Japan.
The final kicked off with suspense as Wang Manyu dropped the first game 12-10 against Honoka Hashimoto. The World No. 2 then bounced back in style, cruising through the next three games 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 to put China up 1-0.
World No. 1 Sun Yingsha followed suit, dominating Miwa Harimoto 11-9, 11-5, 11-7 and extending the lead to 2-0.
Kuai Man sealed the deal with grit, overcoming Hina Hayata 8-11, 12-10, 11-6, 11-9 for the final point and a complete sweep.
By avenging last year’s defeat, China not only took back the gold but also secured a spot at next year’s ITTF World Team Championships in London. A true pong party! 🎉
