Chinese Paddlers Shine with Doubles Wins at WTT US Smash!

Las Vegas turned into a table tennis battleground this weekend at the WTT US Smash, where Chinese paddlers delivered electric performances and clinched major doubles titles. 🏓✨

In the mixed doubles final, the dynamic duo Lin Shidong and Kuai Man defeated South Korea’s Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin in straight games (13-11, 16-14, 11-6), marking the first title for their country at the tournament.

The intensity continued as bronze medals were shared by the pairs from China's Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei, adding more drama to the event.

The women's doubles final kept fans on the edge of their seats as Kuai teamed up with Wang Yidi to overcome second-seeded Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu in a thrilling five-game battle (14-16, 11-5, 11-6, 8-11, 9-11).

Meanwhile, the men's doubles title was captured by Lim and An Jae-hyun with a spirited comeback win against French brothers Alexis and Felix Lebrun (4-11, 13-11, 11-5, 11-6).

The singles competitions brought even more surprise. Chinese dark horse Chen Yi stunned spectators by edging fifth-seeded Kuai in a nail-biting seven-game match (6-11, 11-3, 3-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-1, 11-9) and advanced to the women's singles final. Chen will face Zhu Yuling of China's Macao, who impressed after defeating Japan's No. 7 seed Mima Ito (11-6, 11-9, 6-11, 4-11, 11-6, 11-8).

Not to be outdone, China's second seed Wang Chuqin powered through a tough semifinal against Felix Lebrun (11-9, 5-11, 11-6, 7-11, 12-10, 9-11, 11-9) to secure his spot in the men's singles final.
