Taklimakan Rally 2025: Crew Insights & Race Strategies

The 2025 Taklimakan Rally is hitting its final lap of rest and preparation as crews gear up for the decisive stages in Makit County, Kashgar Prefecture, in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. With vast dune fields and challenging terrain ahead, teams are ready for a true test of endurance!

Martin Koloc, the team principal of Buggyra Racing Team and a two-time European truck-racing champion from the Czech Republic, is balancing his roles as team leader and technical advisor for his daughter, Aliyyah Koloc, who is debuting in the rally. He explained, "I own the team, handle technical aspects, test the car for Aliyyah, and oversee all responsibilities. With her twin sister as the performance engineer, we work like a family to fine-tune every detail. She’s improving every day, and our progress speaks volumes."

Engineer Connor Jones from Shaanxi Yunxiang Club emphasized the importance of data analysis, saying, "After each stage, I analyze the data to ensure the car is performing at its peak. Liu is an exceptional driver who pushes the vehicle to its limits."

Meanwhile, Ian Davies, engineering director of Wuhai Speedrush Club and a returning participant, is leveraging insights from last year’s rally. He noted, "Having multiple cars and drivers allows us to cross-reference data and optimize our setup. Comparing 2024 and 2025 performances has provided invaluable insights."

As the rally charges into its final sprint through sprawling dune fields, every second counts. Prepare for high-octane action and unforgettable moments that will keep motorsport fans on the edge of their seats! 😎🚀
