The team, featuring Chen Yuxi, Chen Yiwen, Wang Zongyuan, and Cheng Zilong, scored a total of 489.10 points, leaving Italy with 416.45 and Germany with 396.20 points.
Chen Yiwen shared the team’s upbeat mood, saying, "The mixed team event has always been a relatively relaxing one for us. We were in a good mindset and really enjoyed the competition." Chen Yuxi added, "I’m quite satisfied with today’s performance," after successfully executing two dives she had struggled with the day before.
Teammate Wang admitted he wasn’t at his best, but expressed full trust in his teammates for stepping up when needed. Meanwhile, Cheng, making his debut in world-level competition, noted, "I tried my best to stay calm and believed in myself," showing courage under pressure. 🤩
Earlier in the day, Chen Yiwen and Chen Jia advanced to the women’s 3-meter springboard final, while Cheng Zilong and Zhu Zifeng secured spots in the men’s 10-meter platform final.
