Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard May Miss Weeks with Ankle Injury 😢

Bad news for Gunners fans: Arsenal's captain Martin Odegaard might be out of action for several weeks after picking up a right ankle injury 😢 during Norway's 2-1 win over Austria in the UEFA Nations League on Monday.

Norway's national team doctor, Ola Sand, shared the concerning update: \\"Such ankle injuries often take at least three weeks. Anything other than that is just a bonus. And then it can take longer,\\" he said. \\"Ankle injuries are very painful right away. With Martin, it was extremely painful. He became very worried.\\"

Odegaard was spotted using crutches 🩼 as he boarded a plane back to London for further scans. The initial MRI examination suggested there is probably no fracture, but the rehabilitation process will determine his return date.

\\"What we have so far obtained from the MRI examination in London is that there is probably no fracture in the ankle,\\" Sand added. \\"In the event of a fracture, we are talking about being out of action for six weeks plus. His response to the rehabilitation in the next few weeks is the most important.\\"

Arsenal are facing a tough schedule ahead 😬. They visit Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday for a Premier League showdown, then travel to face Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League on September 19. Just three days later, they'll challenge the reigning English champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

But wait, there's more! Aside from Odegaard, Arsenal's star midfielder Declan Rice is suspended for the Tottenham match, and newly-signed Mikel Merino has suffered a shoulder fracture 🤕. The Gunners will need all the support they can get from their fans during this challenging period.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for Odegaard and the rest of the squad 🍀. Football isn't the same without our favorite players lighting up the pitch!
