Chinese Table Tennis Aces Serve Up Wins at WTT Champions Macao 🏓🔥

The World Table Tennis (WTT) Champions Macao kicked off in China's Macao Special Administrative Region on Monday, and Chinese paddlers didn't disappoint! 🎉 Four of China's top talents—Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Liang Jingkun, and Lin Gaoyuan—served up thrilling victories to advance to the second round.

Sun Yingsha, facing a tough challenge from South Korea's Jeon Ji-hee, clinched the match in straight games. The first two games were nail-biters, both ending at 14-12 and 12-10. But Sun turned up the heat in the third game, dominating 11-1. "I think Jeon played well today," Sun shared after the match. "It's true that I haven't trained systematically since the 2024 Paris Olympic Games ended, but that's something professional players have to get used to because competitions follow each other closely."

Wang Manyu showcased her skills by defeating Romania's Bernadette Szocs in a four-game battle, winning 11-7, 11-4, 5-11, 11-9. Her powerful shots and strategic plays kept the crowd on the edge of their seats! 🔥

On the men's side, Liang Jingkun dominated Canada's Edward Ly with a clean 3-0 victory (11-3, 11-4, 11-6). "I took some days off after the Olympics and returned to regular training sessions recently," Liang said. "It's very helpful and I felt good in the match."

Lin Gaoyuan also impressed by sweeping Egypt's Omar Assar 11-6, 11-6, 11-8. His agility and precision were on full display, making it a match to remember! 🌟

The WTT Champions Macao is just heating up, and these victories hint at an exciting tournament ahead. Stay tuned for more action as the world's top paddlers battle it out! 🚀
