🏁 Hamilton Breaks 945-Day Dry Spell with Epic British GP Victory

🏎️ After 945 days of waiting, Lewis Hamilton finally tasted victory again at his home circuit! 🎉

The British superstar ended his winless streak in style at the British Grand Prix on Sunday, securing his 104th F1 win in front of an ecstatic crowd at Silverstone.

\"That's the longest stint without a win, 945 days. This could be one of the most special for me, if not the most special,\" Hamilton shared with a grin. \"There have definitely been moments when I thought it's never going to happen again.\"

The last time Hamilton stood on the top step of the podium was at the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, over 50 races ago. But the 39-year-old wasn't about to let that number reach 1,000 days without a win.

In what might be his final British Grand Prix with Mercedes before his move to Ferrari next season, Hamilton made sure to leave a lasting impression.

\"Leaving on a high,\" he said. \"This is my last race here with this team, so I wanted to win this so much for them, because I love them and I appreciate them so much.\"

The atmosphere at Silverstone was electric as fans cheered their hometown hero. 🙌

\"My fans around the world have been so supportive,\" Hamilton expressed. \"I was coming round and there's just no greater feeling than to finish at the front here.\"

The race was nothing short of thrilling, with Hamilton holding off a late charge from Max Verstappen, securing his place in history as the first F1 driver to win on any track nine times.

\"For me, personally, it's the best track in the world,\" Hamilton said, adding to his impressive record of 104 wins and 104 pole positions. He now shares the record of seven world titles with the legendary Michael Schumacher.

As for celebrations? Hamilton's keeping it simple and delicious.

\"With a curry,\" he laughed. \"I love Indian food.\"

Behind Hamilton, Red Bull's Verstappen crossed the line 1.5 seconds later, with McLaren's Lando Norris delighting fans by taking third place ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri.

What a way to make history and sign off with Mercedes! 🎉🏆
