Chinese Riders Sweep Women’s BMX Freestyle at Olympic Qualifier Series 🚴‍♀️✨

Shanghai just witnessed some epic action! 🇨🇳🚴‍♀️ Chinese riders Sun Sibei, Sun Jiaqi, and Deng Yawen totally smashed it at the Olympic Qualifier Series on Friday, taking the top three spots in the women's BMX freestyle park preliminaries.

At just 19 years old, Sun Sibei soared to the top with an impressive score of 87.40 points. Right behind her, Sun Jiaqi scored 86.70, and Deng Yawen clinched third with 85.40. Talk about girl power! 💪✨

\"They've been super, super hot, super strong. And you know, today, all of them held it together; they put on phenomenal runs. It was super fun to watch them ride,\" said U.S. World Champion Hannah Roberts. 🌟

But the excitement didn't stop there! Their Venezuelan coach, Daniel Dhers, who also competed in Shanghai, placed 12th in the men's event, keeping his Olympic dreams alive. Way to go, coach! 🇻🇪🔥

In the men's draw, American Marcus Christopher flew into first place with 89.07 points. Britain's Wayne Dylan Hessey and Australia's Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Martin Logan followed with 87.29 and 86.83 points, respectively. 🌍🚴‍♂️ Unfortunately, China's Hai Yang missed the cut, finishing 20th.

Over in the sport climbing speed events, China's Wu Peng was lightning fast, topping the men's preliminaries with a time of 4.94 seconds! ⚡🧗‍♂️ In the women's event, Niu Di, Wang Shengyan, Zhang Shaoqin, and Zhou Yafei all advanced, with Zhou finishing a close second at 6.62 seconds, just behind Poland's Aleksandra Kalucka at 6.55. Plus, Chinese climbers Luo Zhilu and Pan Yufei secured spots in the Boulder & Lead semi-finals after finishing 6th and 11th. Spain's reigning Olympic champion, Alberto Gines Lopez, led the men's event. ¡Vamos! 🇪🇸🏆
