After 12 unforgettable seasons at Borussia Dortmund, 34-year-old Marco Reus will part ways with the club at the end of the 2023-24 season. 🖤💛
Reus expressed his emotions saying, \"I am incredibly grateful and proud for this special time at my club Borussia Dortmund. I spent more than half of my life in this club and enjoyed every day, although there were of course difficult moments.\"
One of the brightest talents from Dortmund's BVB Evonik Football Academy, Reus began his professional journey at Rot Weiss Ahlen. He caught the world's attention after scoring 18 goals and 12 assists for Borussia Mönchengladbach during the 2011-12 season. Dortmund brought their star back home in July 2012 for €17.1 million, and the rest is history! 🏆
By Friday, Reus had notched up 168 goals and 128 assists in 424 appearances for Dortmund. Despite battling injuries and Bayern Munich's dominance in the league, he helped the team clinch two DFB-Pokals and three DFL-Supercup titles. 🎯
