South Korea Denies DPRK Drone Incursion, Proposes Joint Probe

🔍 Today, January 10, South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense firmly rejected claims by the DPRK that a Seoul-operated drone crossed into its airspace on January 4. President Lee Jae Myung has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-baek called the accusations “absolutely untrue,” pointing out that the drone model shown in photos released by Pyongyang isn’t used by the South Korean military.

Here’s what the DPRK says: the Korean People’s Army tracked an air target moving northward over Incheon, struck it with special electronic warfare assets, and the drone crash-landed near Kaesong Municipality. This version was published by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

In a cool twist, Minister Ahn suggested a joint probe with the DPRK to clear the air and get to the bottom of what really happened. 🤝 Will the DPRK agree to sit down and sort this out together?

Keep your eyes peeled for updates as South Korea kicks off its own investigation and pushes for cooperation on this cross-border mystery! 🚀
