This Saturday, people of all ages hit the streets for the “No Kings” rallies across the United States, standing up against what they see as growing authoritarianism and corruption. Organizers planned over 2,600 gatherings in big cities, small towns and suburbs, aiming for a massive turnout by day’s end.

In New York City, the NYPD reported 100,000 peaceful protesters across all five boroughs—and zero protest-related arrests. Boston, Chicago and Atlanta also saw large crowds, all united by a call for accountability and democratic values.

Aliston Elliot, sporting a Statue of Liberty headpiece, said, “We want to show our support for democracy and for fighting for what is right. I’m against the overreach of power.” Meanwhile in Houston, Marine Corps veteran Daniel Aboyte Gamez, 30, joined about 5,000 people at City Hall, admitting, “I don’t understand what’s going on in this nation right now.”

Veterans Speak Out 🇺🇸

In Portland, 70-year-old veteran Kevin Brice shared, “Even though I’m a lifelong Republican, I don’t support the direction the party is going.” And in Denver, Kelly Kinsella, dressed as Lady Liberty, raised her “No Kings” sign, blaming inflation and tariff policies for everyday stress.
